When I enter a formula in a spreadsheet only the formula text is entered, not the result of the calculation, so if cells value 1,2 and 3 are summed I get =SUM(A1:A3), not 6. Same result if formula is entered manually or if Ʃ is clicked. Value highlighting is green for formula which I presume is correct. I'm also running the same version on virtual XP via Virtual Box on the same host machine with no such problem.
