You see the ' in the edit pane (not in the cell), and that's not strange, but
the intended behaviour. The leading ' in front of a number shows that this
number contents in a number formatting cell should be treated as a text string.
If you insert formula "=A2+1" somewhere in your ex.ods, you will see that result
will be "1" and not "7380", because until 3.1.1 OOo treats string contents as
"0" in a formula. Please mention that this string conversion will behave
completely different starting with OOo 3.2 (Issue 109165)
