------- Additional comments from [email protected] Thu Mar 25 16:01:54 +0000 2010 ------- Hi, When I choose characters of the font "wingdings 2" as special character assigned to a footnote, all I get is an empty cube. What I am actually trying to do is insert a simple star as a footnote, which can't be done with the regular "Times New Roman" (or whatever standard font )-star, because it is superscripted already and thus comes out as double superscript when displayed as footnote. So I found non-superscripted stars in wingdings 2, but they come out as cubes, which appears to be a problem with all characters of this font. Note: when I try to insert characters of wingdings 2 the usual way (insert/special character), it works just fine. So anyaway, I would be happy with any solution, be it making wingdings 2 work again or some other option.
