And I too use an Omnibook; it is an Omnibook 900, of the 500MHz subtype. Another detail I would like to add: When quickstarter was simply loaded at boot-time and never used, it did not prevent suspend. However, if OOo was used at all, i.e. to open any documents, then even after OOo was exited, the machine would not suspend until Quickstarter was also exited. That OOo was version 1.1.1. I never tried 1.1.4. I have just upgraded to 1.9.95 and am now able to suspend properly.
