We also tried a number of different printers. All worked fine except for the Kyocera. @PL: when I select the option "open PDF file in preview" from the printing dialogue, instead of printing directly to the printer, and then print the PDF file from within the preview application, it works fine, too. Most of the delay is taken up by the printer processing the postscript data.
