Procedure

1) Start Calc
2) Write 11 to the cell A1 and 22 to cell B2 (or something in some cells).
3) Draw selection from A1 to C3 (so that those cells are well inside of
selection).
4) Press DEL(ETE) key at the keyboard.
5) In Delete Contents dialog mark Delete all.

6) Observation: I still have 11 in A1 and 22 B2.

It seems that pressing Delete key lost selection of range sametime it opens the
dialog.

I think most of users hate this feature of Delete key with Delete Contents
dialog without settings options so maybe this is not a bug but an implemented
relief? Or maybe I just don't know Calc enough and this is my mistake?

Regards
Risto
