patches from 578023 fine-tuned committed to kfreebsdport01v2.
Note that it's mostly handled as a mapping to Linux except for the differences,
so it's still linux_x86 etc. No idea whether we should change that.
Also note the last comments in the bug, you need a fixed (e)glibc.
