------- Additional comments from [email protected] Wed Apr 21 20:53:22 +0000 2010 ------- I would favour a variation of this proposal : that the position/size and similar attributes -- as noted in the last comment 2009 July -- be saved/restored automatically by document, instead of using the parameters of the last document opened. This would be much simpler to implement and use than styles, at least for position/size. (Styles could still be used for other parameters, of course.) Personally, I often use spreadsheets in a similar manner to the reporter, and would find such a comportment to be a huge advantage (over the present situation). (I would use Writer much more with such an enhancement.) This could be an option, for those that prefer the current behavior. The utility of such a feature is independant of component (word-processor, spreadsheet in my case, etc). It is also independant of OS. (Linux in my case.) What is required is that the context is saved/restored by document, instead of globally. (It may be currently restoring by document type -- spreadsheet, text, etc). Let me know if I should file another issue (since my interest is primarily in spreadsheets, and my proposed solution is somewhat different.) If the reporter accepts my proposed solution, then I would prefer to stay with this issue. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
