Whether in Spreadsheet, Database, or Text Document, all my recently saved OO
files show up on my desktop/folders as a general "file" extension. I've tried
saving in .odt, .doc, .xlt, and even .pdf but ALL newly saved files are showing
up as the generic "file" format. For example, a presentation should show up as
"OpenDocument Presentation" as the file type, but it doesn't. I can drag-drop
onto an OO icon and the file will open normally, but I cannot double-click on
the saved "file" document for it to open, nor are the files recognized in
folders as belonging to a certain file type (OpenDocument Presentation, Adobe
Acrobat Document, etc.).
I have set up files (Tools-->Options-->etc) to auto-save in Microsoft formats
but that didn't work, and I've removed OO from my system and re-installed but
the problem was not fixed.
Please advise!
