Seems to work in DEV300m76; if i change the current language to "Serbian
Cyrillic (Serbia and Montenegro)", the corresponding status bar item grows
accordingly. None of the other items or separators are painted over. Also true
for small window sizes, in which case the other status bar items wander out to
the right side.
