From the discussion in the wiki link I think we agree on the "little yellow" alert kind of window. We'd just need the details fixed: - will this be a yellow window always or (preferably) painted the same way a tool tip would (making this matching the theme) ? In the latter case you would possibly get a border around the window (depending on the theme). - what would be the text ? I'd vote for "The paper format <A4> (<210mm x 297mm>) is not available.
