We already got the IANA variant subtag aproval and it seems now we have to wait for the implementation of BCP47 language tags. As the Provincial Government of Bizkaia is willing to have the biscayan spellchecker in OpenOffice, we would like to know if there is any estimated date for this implementation to be done, as here it says "Target milestone: OOo Later".
