I see that you verified that this is not a problem with software I'm not using.
If I could upgrade that might be a possible solution. Unfortunately that's not
an option.
In the note I didn't see anything about the version of Cups. Any chance I could
know which version? That might be some help, as it appears I'm going to have to
run this to ground myself. Right now openOffice is the only app with duplex
printing problems and the issue is clearly with the parameters sent from oo.
Knowing the versions of a working but hopefully similar system could help
finding where the parameter chain breaks. Along that vein it would also help to
know the version of hplip.
