The procedure as follows does not work: View -> Toolbars - (name of the toolbar) -> uncheck When I close the View panel, then a document, then Impresss and start Impress again, the Task panel is open again. It's really annoying. System info: Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala. OO 3.1.1, build 9420.
