actually that "side effect" had nothing to to with the fix for this issue; it
happens when you use "JPEG compression" as export option. Int this case the file
"exports_without_message.bmp" gets put into the PDF file as a jpeg compressed
image. Nowadays the jpeg exporter recognizes that the image contains only grey
scales and exports a grayscale jpeg then; unfortunately the PDF exporter was not
prepared for that and assumed JPEG was always 24bit truecolor. This effectively
leads to an invalid image inside the exported PDF.
This has nothing at all to do with the original error, but now is also fixed in
CWS vcl111.
