The chart:line chart type does not draw lines connecting points separated by
empty data cells. This is desirable in the case of a table where data points are
missing and you would rather show a discontinuity rather than a line implying
data where none exists.

The scatter type, though, does connect points that span ranges of empty values
(whether X, Y, or both X & Y are missing). Create a sample chart, go to the data
table, delete a row in the middle. Is this the most desirable behavior?
