------- Additional comments from [email protected] Thu Jun 3 08:20:14 +0000 2010 ------- Description: 1. New a presentation in Symphony 1.3 2. Create an basic ellipse, then create a custom shape ellipse "Flowchart->connector" 3. save the document to sample.odp 4. open the sample file by OpenOffice 3.1 Defect: Both ellipses become bigger, see the screen shot Note: If you have no Symphony 1.3 at hand, you can use the attached sample file. --------------------------------------------- Problem determination: 1. For the ellipse issue, the Symphony 1.3 saved XML svg view as svg:viewBox="0 0 10000 10000", and without enhanced path description. But OpenOffice 3.1 default svg view box is svg:viewBox="0 0 21600 21600". If no enhanced path is specified, OpenOffice 3.1 will use the default svg view box to render the ellipse, actully this causes to use the default enhanced path. And the So the ellipse becomes bigger times in OpenOffice 3.1. 2. For the custom shape ellipse - flowchart->connector, the Symphony 1.3 saved XML svg view box as svg:viewBox="0 0 10000 10000", also saved the enhanced path as draw:enhanced-path="U 5000 5000 10000 10000 0 360 N". In this case, OpenOffice 3.1 draws the ellipse according to enhanced path regardless of the view box. In the enhanced path command T(x,y,w,h,t0,t1), the (x,y) is the ellipse center point, the (w,h) is the ellise size,(t0,t1) is the start and end angle in degree. The issue is that Symphony 1.3 regards (w,h) as the ellipse diameter, but OpenOffice 3.1 regards (w,h) as the ellipse radius. So the ellipse becomes bigger in OpenOffice 3.1. ------------------------------------ Hope OpenOffice community takes the ODF interoperability issues with high priority.
