I agree with rsking84 that being able to use both relative and absolute references in data ranges would make Calc's behavior more predictable. Calc now silently changes relative references to absolute references without warning. Defaulting to relative references would likely confuse and surprise a lot of inexperienced users, though. Default should be absolute references.
