Answer:
Disappointed about the long way to get a resulting OOo. But mind, I started
"just" with the submissing of the prior version. I am software engineer, so I
can see the larger process. Almost a year and still not a publishable version -
that is *disappointing*. Please, I do not want to criticize OOo.
For your information:
The translation subprocess we did, is hard too. We chose SDF-to-Gettext (.po),
which gives good control on quality, but originally the team did not consolidate
on the numerous duplicate strings. About the helpcontent the team has its doubts
regarding sense / feasibility / worth.
In general motivation will come with the next version.
Having done other mass translation work, OOo still gave me interesting insights
about software and user processes.
