I have installed Open Office in Spanish, and then installed the following
dictionaries:
English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese. Only English and German work.

I disinstalled and re-installed the Italian version of Open office. Now the
Italian dictionary works as well as German. The other dictionaries I had
installed previously (included Italian!) appear in grey, I can´t neither
eliminate nor activate them. I installed again all of them. Only Italian and
German work.

I tried to clean everything by disintalling all, cleaning the registry with
Registry Cleaner Free, restaring the PC and the reinstalling the Italian
Vesion. The dictionaries still appear in grey.

If I write a text in POrtuguese, and select it, then clic Strumenti / Lingua /
per selezione, I find Portuguese in the list of available languages, but when I
then clic on strumenti/ortografia e gramamtica then the message is "Controllo
ortografico terminato" but it has not controlled anything and the box
labelled "lingua Testo" is blank. I can´t access this box, since it's blocked
and when clicking OK, the dialog closes.

Is there some way to reset all the dictionaries? I suppose the problem is in
the copies who were installed with the Spanish version and remained after
disintalling and reinstalling the Italian version. But I can´t find where these
files are.
Also it seems that Open offices detects the language in which one writes, but
does not select the correct dictionary.

It's a pity it does not work. The main drawback I had with Word is that it does
not allow to install other dictionaries apart the ones who come in the disc,
and I need to write in several languages, so I can´t have a word processor in
each language.
