------- Additional comments from [email protected] Tue Jun 15 15:15:18 +0000 2010 ------- AW: I took a deeper look. Copying the shape before converting to Bitmap and then pasting over the Bitmap one shows that the size is correctly calculated at conversion start time; the converted shape has exactly the correct size for the non-converted one. Problem is more the reduced resolution the Bitmap converted shape is rendered in; as lower the default fallback resolution for such tasks is, the higher is the chance that a pretty small incarnation of the font is used which then gets rendered with slightly 'twisted' sizes and distances. To check this as reason, i internally forced conversion to double resolution, and voila: It works as expected. I also tried to calculate the needed conversion size using the target resolution, but failed up to now; need to think deeper about how this could be solved. Unfortunately it is no solution to just tweak the default conversion resolution itself.
