------- Additional comments from [email protected] Fri Jun 18 02:18:19 +0000 2010 ------- I installed Open Office and now my tax software program VisualTax (Canadian) crashes on startup. I have not had any issue with this program until the install. I have uninstalled Open Office and uninstalled tax software and reinstalled it with no luck. The program continues to crash when I open it. I tried one more time to install and uninstall Open Office to try and have it correct any files that may have been damaged. No change. I believe that Open Office has made a permanent change to my computer that will not allow my tax software to run. This is the description of the application error in the event log: Faulting application t12009.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.5781, fault address 0x00012afb. I have contacted VisualTax and have sent them what has happened and this error, they say my Windows library files have been corrupted. I need someone to tell me how to fix the changes Open Office has made.
