The web browser (firefox) opens the following URL https://registration2.services.openoffice.org/RegistrationWeb/register/urn:st:311f5d6c-3c71-437e-8ceb-ea3278c11a50?product=OpenOffice.org&locale=en&cid=926117 which returns [quote] Not Found The requested object does not exist on this server. The link you followed is either outdated, inaccurate, or the server has been instructed not to let you have it. [quote] The issue occurred on Saturday, June 19 2010 00:21 Here more details I downloaded OOo_3.2.1_Linux_x86_install-deb_en-US.tar.gz from http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/openoffice.org/stable/3.2.1/OOo_3.2.1_Linux_x86_install-deb_en-US.tar.gz SHASUM = cc2bad4ace6810834da4d86be0da3551adfba0cb OS: Debian squeeze 32bit 2.6.33.2local JAVA: java version "1.6.0_17" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_17-b04) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 14.3-b01, mixed mode, sharing) After the installation, at the first run, OO asks for registration. On click "ok" the web browser opens with the above URL which cannot be found. The same issue occurs even when trying to register from the "Help" menu Help->Registration . This bug looks very similar to the 3 bugs listed below http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=106712 http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=109283 http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=108264 Please consider this bug seriously because you are missing out on many registrations.
