An investigation of the attached file shows that the font to be used for text is
already been labelled as italic. Thus nothing can be done about his on import.
The problem is already in SO 6/7 file format. The settings written to the file
are not correct.
This can easily be seen when setting the bold and italic attribute for text
fonts in a sample formula. When saving and reloading such a formula with SO 6/7
the settings get lost.
Thus since this is already functional in OO 2.0 and since it is the file that is
broken because of the bug in the older versions nothing can be done here.
However I updated the handling (identification) of bold and italic as sugested
by HDU and in the font dialog the checkboxes for bold and italic are not visible
anymore when modifiying the "Sans", "Serif" and "Fixed" fonts because they are
not used when it is determined if a text is written that way. If a text is bold
and/or italic is ONLY defined by identifing it as a varaible, text, number or
function and thus those settings from that fonts are used.
