The unit used for the dimension line is defined by the locale. When you load
the document into an office with a locale that uses inches you get inches after
copy and paste.
Only when the document is loaded from file the locale is taken from that file.
Thus, the conversion from cm to inches would only be an error when the locale of
the office/document into which the shapes are pasted uses inches.
