Why do we have to specify a font name there? I think use the system default
font as fall-back will be better.

For example, windows' default font can be found in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\GRE_Initialize\GUIFont.Facename
or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes
