------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sat Jul 31 03:51:37 +0000 2010 ------- I have spent the past two weeks researching and putting together a presentation for my final project in school. Yesterday, I started with Impress and was happy to see it was easy to understand; very user-friendly. I spent about 9 hours yesterday sorting the information and formatting it into Impress with pictures and charts and references and links to videos that were pertinent to the project. Today, I spent another 7-8 hours working on the presentation. I saw there was an update to the 3.2 version I already had, and downloaded and installed 3.2.1 before I got started. My laptop has been uncooperative today since that time, with my keyboard randomly ceasing to work (no keystrokes recognized in any program) and it wouldn't shut down. I cold-crashed the computer by removing the battery and it would work again. This happened several times. I had compiled all of my information, and was adding a T/F quiz for my class at the beginning of the presentation (found in another presentation online) when my keyboard quit working again. Again, I had to cold-crash the computer, and when I re-started the machine and attempted to re-open the file to finish it, it brought up an "ASCII filter options" menu instead of Impress. If I hit "cancel" the file would not open; If I hit "OK" the file opens in Writer and is 510 pages long. There is nothing but # signs for the entire length of the 510 pages. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
