I believe that works "as designed". But I agee, sometimes the behaviour seems to
be unpredictable
0. Open new Spreadsheet
1. Click B5
3. Press "=" at the input bar
"=" appears in cell and input pane
4. click 'B1'
"B1" will be added in input pane and cell
5. Press "Cursor Right"
"B2" string will become unselected, cursor will be moved to right end of
formula in cell
9. <esc>, clear all for next test
11. Click B5
12. Press <shift>+<=>
"=" appears in cell and input pane
14. click 'B1'
"B1" will be added in input pane and cell, highlighted in cell
15. Press "Cursor Right"
expected: see step 5
actual: "B2" will be modified to "C1"

21. Dobule Click B5, then left click into input pane

That might be a feature, but to mee it seems to be inconsistent.
