tl->fya: I discussed with IS the possibility of including more than one
dictionary extension into a language pack, currently or process allows only for
one! He said for OOO 3.3 this can not be changed (too much trouble).

Thus it will not be possible to get spell checking, hyphenation and thesaurus
into the language pack unless all three of them are in the very same extension.
Of course, even if they come from different extensions, it will be possible to
include all of them into the native language build of OOO. It's just the
language packs where the process is not yet fit to include more than one
dictionary extension.

Also I was told that if we make an entry for for 'uk' in the
spellchecker_selection.txt then it we can get rid of the en-US dictionary in the
language pack as well. (Currently IS is checking if including the en-US
dictionary into language packs with no entry in spellchecker_selection.txt is
the expected default or not).

tl->fyva: thus your choices are:

A) providing a single extension with spell checking, hyphenation and thesaurus.
In that case that one could be integrated in native builds AND the language
pack.

B) provide the spell check dictionary as a single extension and choose other
extension(s) for hyphenation and thesaurus. In that case I propose to include
the spell check dictionary into the language pack.

[Q]: How about the hyphenation and thesaurus? If you ask us to use the 'uk'
spell check dictionary for 'ru' as well, would that apply to hyphenation and
thesaurus as well? That is is the set of dictionaries to be used for both
languages essentially the same?
