This is what the ODF validator gave to me for the attached file:

value

missing "name" attribute

value. Possible values are: auto, and more

upload:///113804.odt:Info:Generator: MicrosoftOffice/12.0 MicrosoftWord
So it does not look like a problem in OpenOffice.
