Hi Tracey,
this is the bugtracking system of OOo but not a help desk. Please ask such
questions at the mailing lists or the forum.
Nevertheless here's the solution:
Just copy the cell containing the note
Select the cell you want to the add the note
Select Paste Special or press CTRRL+SHIFT+V
untag all
untag all remaining but not Notes
select Add on the right hand side of the dialog under Operations
Click on Ok
It's a bit different to Excel but logical correct.
