My EPS images often describe experimental setups or device structure. Even if
not very complicated, the scrolling is hampered (especially if the images are
included as links)

The code for displaying the bonding boxes is probably kept somewhere because I
remember that around 2002, OO did not render EPS images, but used to put a
rectangular frame with the size of the bounding box instead (EPS images were
included only when printing was done).
