------- Additional comments from [email protected] Wed Sep 1 11:39:36 +0000 2010 ------- Hi there, OpenOffice is installed now for ages under my Gentoo. But since version 3.2 I have problems opening documents offline. Problem: It takes ages for OpenOffice when I am offline to open a document (doesn't matter if text or calculation) But it takes milliseconds to open a document when I am online. So I think there is a process trying to look up something in the net. And the problem is the long time out. Tried to look with ngrep on eth0 but nothing really to see. I was also unsuccessful look up "openoffice offline" - also "openoffice timeout" : it only tells me to switch off java (but as I know OpenOffice needs java to start) I also posted on http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=31819 and tried again with http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=32664 Are there any option I can change so I can open a document in milliseconds when I am offline. At the moment it is really annoying. Thanks for any advice or debug information.
