------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Apr 28 11:16:20 -0700 2005 ------- God only knows where this issue should go since it's about interoperability between parts of OO. Basically, I wanted to make labels. I had a Calc file. I tried New -> Labels, but there was no way to direct it to my Calc file as a data source. So I tried opening the Data Source explorer window. No way to add a data source. I tried making a new database to import my Calc data. No way to import Calc into a database. Finally, I tried mail merge, even though all I wanted were labels, and in one of the dialogs there I was able to tell it to add a new source. Now my Calc file is a data source, and I can make labels using the Label wizard. Why was this so difficult? Either Calc should let me specify that this particular file is to be made a data source for all of OO, or the Label wizard should let me add data sources or the Data Sources explorer should let me add data sources, preferably all of the above. Also, now that I have labels made, it shows me the fields and not the data that it's actually going to print. Not helpful. If there's a separate view that will get me that, shouldn't there be something under the View menu to that effect? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
