------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sat Sep 11 15:14:35 +0000 2010 ------- I believe that this issue is not a cricical defect, since you can launch programs in start menu or by clicking desktop icons without problem, but it's not just about pinning the wrong icon to the taskbar. When I use multiple OO.o programs at the same time, icons of the different programs (e.g. Writer and Calc) in the taskbar simply "merges" into the icon which I launched first. This makes me confusing and misleading every time. I've found multiple threads complaining about this issue in the English user forum, (http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26289 http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28168 are two of them) and other websites. I understand that this is about the framework of the program, which uses soffice.bin for the main process, but this really is misleading users. Who would want to find his/her Writer icon in the taskbar stuck with the Calc icons? I hope there is the way to solve or work around this issue. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
