Replicated steps provided in atterer 's bug description, using computers with
given specs:

Hardware used:

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)
(7600.win7_gdr.100618-1621)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: HP-Pavilion
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 945 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM

Operating System: Windows Vistaâ„¢ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1
(6001.vistasp1_gdr.100608-0458)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Processor: AMD Turion Dual-Core RM-70 (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
Memory: 2814MB RAM

Open Office Version used: OOo-dev 3.3.0
OOO330m3 Build: 9519

Replication steps:

1. Create an empty presentation.
2. Add a slide that accepts text entry
3. Enter a sentence of text
4. Double-click on the first word, keep the mouse button pressed after the second
click.
5. Drag mouse over the next word
6. Observe that the next word is not highlighted

I followed this up by testing other mouseover word functionality:

    *

moving words by holding the mouse button over one word to another
    *

highlighting words by using ctrl+shift+ right arrow

    *

highlighting words in a row/ multiple lines by holding the left mouse
button and scrolling over the words

I found that all of these followup tests showed successful results.

However, I was able to generalize the original bug to be unable to highlight any
other words in a two line paragraph.

A more generalized set of replication steps:

1. Create an empty presentation.
2. Add a slide that accepts text entry
3. Enter any desirable amount of text, with at least one space delimiting a
word.
4. Double-click on the first word, keep the mouse button pressed after the second
click.
5. Drag mouse over to any desired word other than the highlighted word
6. Observe that the no words between the highlighted word and the moused over
word are highlighted.
