Have tried this in 3.2.1 (Ubuntu Lucid proposed) and it no longer crashes, so
thank you to whoever fixed it!
I shall submit a feature request that copying text doesn't create a bookmark. I
can easily imagine documents ending up with hundreds of useless bookmarks!
