------- Additional comments from [email protected] Fri Sep 24 13:00:36 +0000 2010 ------- I have set up a CUPS printer using the appropriate system administration tool. While I can use the printer from the OOo applications, it is not set as default printer, and from the print dialog I cannot set it as such. So I wanted to do that from spadmin, but the printer doesn't show up there, no matter whether spadmin is called as user or as root. It isn't in the list of printers to add via the 'Add printer' dialog either. Additionally, as an experiment, I disabled CUPS support in spadmin both as user and as root and was still able to print via the system-configured printer with no visible difference to when CUPS support is enabled. This issue seems related to Issue 112521, and could be related to Issue 109427.
