------- Additional comments from [email protected] Tue Sep 28 14:42:29 +0000 2010 ------- Autofill by drag overwrites both visible and hidden cells when used in autofiltered selection. If you COPY a value, then PASTE that into a cell range in the autofiltered list, only the VISIBLE cells are overwritten. But with Autofill (dragging the little black square downwards) both visible and hidden cells are overwritten. Also when holding Ctrl to make all cells Expected: overwrite only the visible cells. How to reproduce: 1 take a list and autofilter it. 2 select something in the autofilter selectors, so that some rows here and there are hidden 3 pick some cell in the autofiltered range, and drag the black autofill square down some cells 4 remove autofiltering from the list and observe damaged [ex-hidden] cells. OK have to admit I don't actually know if this is a bug or a feature, but since it behaves differently on (1)copy/paste from (2)Ctrl+Autofill I file this is a bug. To me the two techniques looks the same and I would expect them to have the same result. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
