------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Apr 29 10:58:17 -0700 2005 ------- You can use the design view in Base to create a new field with the autovalue attribute set. However, you cannot edit this value on an existing field. If you have a field with autovalue off, setting it on and saving does not generate an error message, but the autovalue value is silently changed back to off. If you then open the table for data editing, the field is not shown as an autovalue field. If you have a field that was create with autovalue on, setting it off and saving does not generate an error message, but the autovalue value is again shown as on. However, if you then open the table for data editing, the field is no longer shown as an autovalue field. Re-opening the table in design view will still show the field as autovalue until Base is closed and re-opened, when it will then show the field with autovalue off. Design view should correctly edit the autovalue field to either on or off, save it, and correctly show the current value. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
