This is the backported fix of issue 39561, which was verified to work with
OOo1.9.x in February/March this year.
NOTE: to reproduce the behavior described above in

may be problematic, as you'll have to set the system date back to February, for
example, which I didn't do right now in my networked environment => left to QA
