Checked again in 3.1 - still can only use log(10)-based labels. I can't find any
way to display axis labels base 2, or some other values.
Issue 26869 seems to indicate that now I can have labels 1, 10, 100, ...; or 1,
100, 10000, ...; or in some other spacing. I don't see how I can get 1, 2, 4,
8, ...
