The fact that this is a common issue across discussion boards, that there are duplicates of this, should be an indication that this is a needed feature. As someone who has used and promoted OpenOffice.org to friends for ten years now, it makes me sad and embarrassed that this is not the first time I've discovered a request for a feature bogged down for years with discussions of "I don't need this, OOo isn't photoshop/firefox/eudora/linux". Not everyone that uses OpenOffice.org is 'leet enough to save a picture, edit it, resize, save it, import it. But even if they were, why should they, when their workflow could be copy, paste?
