Openoffice Impress always opens the footer in standard-size and alignement without preserving what has been specified either in Openoffice or in Powerpoint itself. No problem with this if it is a OTP or ODP file. I've tested and reproduced the problem as well with Ubuntu 10.10 as under Windows XP (using Openoffice 3.2.0).
