------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sun Oct 24 08:23:38 +0000 2010 ------- OOo calc has this "link to external data" feature. I was wondering if it could be extend to make a growing database off the external data. For e.g. if I import some live data and configure calc to update it after every 60 seconds, then in another sheet (call it sheet x) the live data will be recorded after every 60 seconds utilizing new cells each time. E.g if the live data gets updated after 60 seconds (as configured in calc), a cell (in sheet x) will be used to record that data at a corresponding time t (the time, will optionally will be placed in the adjacent cell). After 60 seconds, since calc will check the data for changes again, a new cell (again in sheet x) will be utilized to record the data after 120th second with the adjacent column recording the time at which it was record, then again after the 180th second, a new cell will be utilized etc... Thus it'll form a moving and growing database. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
