This is probably related to a problem fixed in fc-2_3_92 with
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/fontconfig/commit/?id=793154ed which got into
so I think the best solution is to avoid the problematic pattern duplication at
least versions of FC without
that fix => done in CWS vcl116
