------- Additional comments from [email protected] Wed Nov 17 23:25:13 +0000 2010 ------- Dear folks, When using OOo Writer, the opened edit window intermittently goes gray for about 5 to 45 seconds and doesn't respond to mouse or keyboard inputs. This happens at irregular periods from about once every few minutes to once per half hour. Then the grayed out window restores itself to normal brightness and operation continues. It has been doing this, I think, ever since I installed the software with the last release of Ubuntu (10.04 LTS) and I have not been able to identify the cause. I haven't noticed this happening with the other OOo applications (it may) I don't notice any unusual HDD activity and it doesn't seem to matter if I have other applications running or not. Note - I'm using an Intel Core i5 PC with lots of RAM and HDD space. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
