------- Additional comments from [email protected] Tue Dec 7 20:52:41 +0000 2010 ------- In attempting to generated mailing labels from a spread sheet, I encountered many frustrating problems. 1. The data base generated by the Address Data Source Wizard was fine except there were no entries in the ZIP column, even though the Spread Sheet contained data. There was no indication why no data was entered. Eventually, I discovered that the problem was that some entries in the spread sheet were numeric, and some were text. (I don't know how this occurred.) It would save much aggrivation and time if the data base had given some clue of the problem. Note that trouubleshooting gave some bizarre behaviour: deleting some entries caused other entries to correctly appear. 2. I then attempted to change the formatting of the offending spread sheet data by selecting the cells and doing a Format>cells operation. This had no effect on the original problem, because it does not change the format of existing data. Now I know, but it took more aggrivation and time to discover this. I finally ended up printing my labels in several partial lists, not an optimum solution, but the best I was capable of after 4 days of frustration on basically a simple operation. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
