Instead of an extended protection scheme, enabling the possibility to
conditional format neigbouring (or arbitrary) cells would solve my problem as
well. So cell B1 would not apply a style on itself depending on some formula,
instead it would apply the style on some other cell, e.g. A1. So I would hide
cell B1 and I can paste text in cell A1 and A1 would not need conditional format
rules itself, so they would not be disrupted anymore by the paste action(because
all editable cells would not need conditional formatting anymore, the hidden
cells would control their formatting}
