The Excel 2003 format is the processor of the MS OOXML format. AFAIK the format
itself has been deprecated by Microsoft.
I am afraid the filter has no high priority any longer. Nevertheless I spend
some time to see if I could easily fix the problem, but as this was not the
case, I have to ask some other from the community to invest time in it as I
have
to focus on other task.
PS: Changed issue flags accordingly..
